Kassel Documenta is found in 1955 and referenced as the heart of the international art world, proposing ‘The way of new art and the future of art’ with earnest perspective. Two Korean artist teams were invited to this event for the first time in 20 years. This documentary will feature Moon Kyungwon and Jeon Joonho’s project, News from Nowhere, and the making of their latest work, Voice of Metanoia-Two perspectives. A curator from Houston Museum, famous for its massive Asian collections, highly praised Gim Hong-sok’s works for his originality and thematic consciousness that can ring a bell to all men. Exhibition site of Yeesookyung’s Translated vase – the Moon, which was highly complimented at the Sydney Biennale, is also unveiled. Furthermore, it introduces Lim Minouk’s solo exhibit held at Walker Art Center, known as the gateway to MoMA. It reveals the heat of shadow, which has never been introduced in Korea. Through this, we may catch a glimpse of Lim’s direction of future works.
